Corn starch is widely used and easy to modify. It has many industrial uses, such as adhesives, paper products, as an anti-sticking agent and textile manufacturing.
The viscosity of industrial starch paste changes less than that of other starches, so it is often used as a sizing agent, adhesive and thickener for various foods. When starch is boiled and cooled, if the concentration exceeds 3.5%, it will form a soft gel, and if the concentration reaches about 6%, it will become a gel with a very high elastic coefficient.
Saccharification raw materials: Industrial starch is the raw material of sugar gum, glucose and other modified starches. Papermaking: Industrial starch is used as a sizing agent and coating agent to increase the tensile force of paper, improve surface strength and printing adaptability.
The biggest difference between industrial starch and edible starch is that industrial starch contains impurities such as heavy metals and toxic substances, and industrial starch has no hygienic requirements. Edible starch has strict requirements on sensory indicators (such as color, smell, taste, impurities), physical and chemical indicators and hygienic indicators .
