Features of mulberry silk thread:
Silk fiber is composed of two triangular or semi-elliptical silk fibers wrapped with sericin, and the cross section is elliptical. Silk fiber belongs to protein fiber, the main components of which are sericin and fibroin, of which fibroin accounts for about 3/4 and sericin accounts for about 1/4. Sericin is the outer layer of silk fibroin, which is a continuous substance produced by silkworm pupae. Two continuous fibroin proteins are wrapped by sericin to form a silk monofilament.
Sericin is collagen, which is well known for its skin nourishing effect. Fibroin is used in textiles and made into silk threads. The silk threads we produce are all made of this part of fibroin, which has high strength.
The pH value of silk is similar to that of the human body, and it has a natural pearl-like luster. Clothing made of silk fiber is not only noble in appearance, but also has green and healthy characteristics for the human body, and has multiple health care effects. The hygroscopicity of silk is 1.5 times that of cotton and 1.8 times that of wool.
